Eva Longoria Is Alluringly Happy With Her Family and Friends

14 October 2008 2:00 PM, PDT | From Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news

Eva Longoria is all glammed up on the cover of November's Allure, looking nothing like her low-key character on this season of Desperate Housewives. In between poses, she opened up to the magazine about her much-talked-about weight gain, rock-solid relationship with Tony, and famous friends. Here's more: On her weight:"I've stopped working out and gained about seven pounds, which is a lot for a small person — but I'm still a size 0 . . . I never went up a size. I just got a little rounder." On Victoria Beckham: "By the way, in real life? Victoria Beckham smiles a lot. She's very, very funny. I introduced her to Kate Beckinsale. How could they not know each other? They're just like a comedy show." On her confidence:"I know I'm not pregnant; I know Tony and I aren't breaking up. I know we're not cheating." Aside from the speculation over her figure,

Football Runs Circles Around Baseball On Fox

13 October 2008 10:33 AM, PDT | From Studio Briefing | See recent Studio Briefing news

A big night of sports put Fox on top during primetime on Sunday as an NFL football overrun posted an enormous 17.1 rating and a 31 share (21.84 million viewers) in the 7:00 p.m. time period, followed by game three of the National League playoff series between Philadelphia and Los Angeles, which averaged a 6.8/9. Football clobbered baseball, however, as the NBC's Sunday Night Football coverage of the game between the New England Patriots and the San Diego Chargers delivered a 9.0/15. Nevertheless the game was no match for ABC's Desperate Housewives, which jumped to the top at 9:00 p.m. with a 10.1/15. The network stayed there at 10:00 p.m. as Brothers & Sisters registered a 7.2/12.

Sneak Peeking 'Desperate Housewives' 5.04: Back in Business

13 October 2008 2:44 AM, PDT | From Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news

Moving on with its season 5, "Desperate Housewives" has teased its next episode. Through a promotional video, it has been said that there is something wrong about the desperate housewives, there is something not right about their men, and there will be one thing that no one saw it coming.

In the episode entitled "Back in Business", Mike and Susan will attend parent-teacher night where Mike gets the feeling that he is not a presence in his son's life, while Juanita sees Gabrielle and Carlos having sex. The ladies will be envious of Bree's success after she becomes the guest of honor at an ornate luncheon, and Tom and Dave's garage band expands.

Dealing with jealousy, episode 5.04 will be aired on ABC television network on Sunday, October 19 at 9/8c. It stars Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross, Eva Longoria, Nicollette Sheridan, Doug Savant, Dana Delany and Neal McDonough among others.

'The Avengers' Baddie Should Be Hulk, 'Iron Man' Writers Hope

10 October 2008 1:29 AM, PDT | From Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news

The possibility of Hulk being the villain in "The Avengers" has been hyphened up once more. In support of Louis Leterrier's proposed idea back in June, "Iron Man" scribblers, Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, also pointed out that everything has been built toward making the green raging beast one misunderstood baddie.

Explaining his reason on picking Hulk as the villain, Fergus said, "I hope 'The Avengers' embraces that. You don't want like 10 super-badass good guys fighting together. Where's the fun in that?" He then suggested, "Let's break it off a little. Friends or colleagues who become enemies is always an interesting thing because you know it's based on love and friendship and that's always the worst thing to have turn bad - is someone you actually care about and someone you actually believe in."

While stressing more on the excitement to be achieved when good guys collide with each other,

CBS Takes Over First Place Again

8 October 2008 10:32 AM, PDT | From Studio Briefing | See recent Studio Briefing news

CBS returned to its usual position at the top of the Nielsen weekly ratings list last week, with its largely unheralded NCIS rising to second place in its season debut. The network also saw solid results for its new series The Mentalist, which followed NCIS. The strong showing for the network was particularly striking considering the fact that its biggest draw, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, does not make its season debut until this week. But while CBS's overall audience was up for the week, most of ABC's and NBC's shows were down sharply. For the week, CBS averaged a 7.0 rating and a 12 share. (It also won among adults 18-49.) ABC came in second with an average 6.0/10. NBC placed third with a 6.0/10, while Fox trailed with a 4.0/6.

The top ten shows of the week according to Nielsen Research:1. Dancing With the Stars (Monday), ABC, 12.2/18; 2. NCIS, CBS, 11.0./17; 3. 60 Minutes, CBS, 10.5/17; 4. Dancing With the Stars (Tuesday), ABC, 10.2/15; 5. Desperate Housewives, ABC, 10.0/15; 6. The Mentalist, CBS, 9.8/15; 7. CSI: NY, CBS, 9.6/16; 8. Criminal Minds, CBS, 9.5/15; 9. CSI: Miami, CBS, 9.2/15; 10. NBC Sunday Night Football, NBC, 8.8/14.

Eva Longoria Pauses For Peace

8 October 2008 5:00 AM, PDT | From Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news

Eva Longoria stepped out to do some shopping yesterday in her OmniPeace t-shirt, a favorite among celebs trying to spread awareness about poverty in Africa. She looked casual except for those stilettos, but the most noticeable part of the ensemble was the lack of a bump in those tight jeans — guess we won't be hearing any of those pregnancy rumors this week. We're still trying to get used to the toned-down Gaby we're seeing on Desperate Housewives this season, but in the meantime it's clear that in real life Eva is far from ready to let herself go. Death May Come in 'Desperate Housewives'

7 October 2008 9:37 PM, PDT | From Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news

Some spoilers to the upcoming episodes of "Desperate Housewives" have been offered by creator Marc Cherry. The man who also serves as the series' executive producer, told E! online that a huge fire will occur in Fairview, and some of the residents on Wisteria Lane may not survive the incident. "It's one of the biggest special-effects episodes we've ever done, actually more difficult than the tornado," Cherry said.

He also noted that the garage band Dave creates with Tom will be somewhat a pivotal story related to the fire. "We have a huge episode that we just started shooting where all my regulars go to see a garage band from the neighborhood play in a nightclub," Cherry continued. "The nightclub gets set on fire. It's connected to the mystery, and it's going to be a huge episode."

When asked who possibly get killed in the fire, cast Dana Delany said

CBS's Football Tackles NBC's Football

6 October 2008 10:39 AM, PDT | From Studio Briefing | See recent Studio Briefing news

A half-hour football overrun into primetime at 7:00 p.m. Sunday that drew 21.99 million viewers helped give CBS an overall lead for the night. Apparently, however, there's only so much football that viewers can take in a single night, since NBC's Sunday Night Football game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Jacksonville Jaguars averaged 12.78 million viewers, fewer than the 15.52 million who tuned in to the season premiere Sunday of ABC's Desperate Housewives. (Advertising Age reported over the weekend that NBC's Sunday Night Football commands the highest ad rate of any broadcast on television, with a 30-second spot going for $434,792.)

This week is a big one for Britney's "Womanizer" — it hits iTunes on Tuesday and the video is set to debut on the October 10 episode of 20/20. A New Batman is Found

Batman has got to be the most visible and most popular superhero right now. Spider-Man is certainly a close second and Iron Man has his new found fans, but The Dark Knight elevated Batman to a level I am sure Warner Bros. never anticipated and it looks like one Batman just isn't enough. E! Online has a scoop that Armie Hammer, an actor that has seen a little bit of TV work on shows such as "Desperate Housewives" and "Veronica Mars" as well as a role in Flicka as Male Prefect, is next in line to play the caped crusader in the continuing attempts to bring the Justice League to the big screen in George Miller's Justice League: Mortal currently rumored to be hitting theaters in 2011. Of course, this gives Christopher Nolan and company more than enough time to hammer out a third film in the Nolan Batman Trilogy,
