Fun Stuff

Trivia:
In the military controlled building where Morpheus is being held, Neo stops the elevator on the 41st floor. more
Goofs:
Factual errors: Morpheus specifies the human body generates 25,000 BTUs of body heat. The human body is constantly outputting heat into the environment so he should specify the rate of energy transfer rather than a total amount of energy being transferred. Or he should specify how much time it takes for a human body to output 25,000 BTUs in order for any claims, regarding how much energy is extracted from humans, to be meaningful. more

Trinity: Is everything in place?
Cypher: You weren't supposed to relieve me.
Trinity: I know, but I felt like taking a shift.
Cypher: You like him, don't you? You like watching him.
Trinity: Don't be ridiculous.
Cypher: We're gonna kill him. You understand that?
Trinity: Morpheus believes he is the one.

Raises the bar for sci-fi films for years to come, 29 March 2000
10/10

The Wachowski Brothers vision of a possible future takes the visual and sound aspects of filmmaking to a new high. Incorporating older still photography with computer enhancement to the degree that appears on the screen has raised the genre to a level that will be very hard-pressed by filmmakers for a number of years. Acting was wonderful, script, visual, sound, everything about this film is a tribute to a usually overlooked genre.
